Ifanadiana ERA5 Precipitation

Precipitation at fokontany or commune level corresponds to all the water falling to the ground in the form of rain, snow, hail or any other form of atmospheric precipitation. These data, expressed in meters, exclude fog and dew. They cover the period from 2000 to 2023, with a spatial resolution of 11,132 meters and a monthly temporal resolution.

Columns :
- fid : numeric id of commune or fokontany
- date : date in format: YYYY-MM, corresponding to year and month
- new_commun : commune name after 2019
- old_commun : commune name before 2019
- comm_fkt : name of fokontany using standardized ‘new_commune’_’fokontany’ nomenclature
- sum_ppt_month : total monthly precipitation in mm

Source	Precipitation data come from the fifth generation ECMWF atmospheric reanalysis (ERA5) collection of aggregated monthly images (ECMWF/ERA5_LAND/MONTHLY_AGGR) available on Google Earth Engine (GEE). The band used, “total_precipitation_sum”, provides the total sum of precipitation for each month, expressed in meters.
