Description
Ifd_admin_GADM_level_5_(Fokontany) data describe the Fokontany, Madagascar's smallest administrative unit. Following the 2019/2020 territorial redrawing, these data include two attributes: old_commune for the commune membership through 2018 and new_commune for 2019-onward. A unique identifier comm_fkt has been created by combining the name of the new commune and that of the fokontany, separated by an underscore. This static data makes it possible to trace changes in the administrative affiliation of Fokontany.
