Climate data

This collection groups together various climate datasets that provide information on temperature, precipitation, evapotranspiration, runoff, and other key climatic variables.
The datasets come from global sources such as WorldClim and ECMWF/ERA5 and have been processed and aggregated at administrative levels—communes and fokontany—for easier integration into territorial analyses and decision-making processes.

The data span different time periods: - Static climatological averages for 1970–2000 (WorldClim, Bioclim) - Dynamic monthly datasets from 2000 to 2023 (ERA5)

The original data were spatially aggregated using Google Earth Engine (GEE), applying a weighted mean based on the area of each pixel intersecting the administrative units.
